alexandra kurt, born in 1997, studied at the film school "bts - cinéma et audiovisuel" in luxembourg after her graduation from secondary school.

since 2019, she has been studying feature film directing at the university of television and film munich. for her work as a director and screenwriter, she received the deutscher jugendfilmpreis and the european media award prix europa for best new talent.

her short films have been screened at a variety of national and international festivals, including the 44. filmfestival max ophüls preis and at the A- festival pöff in tallinn, estonia. in 2026 she is part of two torino film lab programs with her first feature film.
